With each videos, it has remarkable graphics along with upbeat songs that allows teaching more fun. To sign up, you can easily go to the website and create a username by entering your email address. This website has a free trial, and you can also pay for subscription that cost $67 a year for more videos for your students. Using the platform, Flocabulary, you can easily find videos that matches your classroom lessons that can be exciting and fun for the students. Teachers using Flocabulary videos have used in their reviews, where the students watch videos after learning about a certain topic and completing interactive lyrics worksheets. Farewell Reflection ED 638-40 Teaching with the Internet Hattie Peter    The day has come when I can finally checked off my last assignment and I am relieved! It has been fun taking ED 638-40 Teaching with the Internet. In the beginning, I panic and with the holidays happening, I worry that I will mess up. I am easily distracted when things happen and this course comes like a typhoon. I try to manage my time and I think I did well. I get to do a lot of reading when I get to write up the seven reviews of effective literacy websites. I have learned so much and need more reading on the internet tools and websites that I get to read from my colleagues. The ideas I get to read from the Moodle forum has given me a broader sense that there is no limit in teaching and especially when it comes to educational technologies.  I enjoyed this course and learning from everyone and also from out Instructor Dr. Rivera.   Final Self Reflection I believe that I’ve met the requirements of this class at the target benchmark. I was able to submit assignments in a timely manner with the exception of one ILA Newsletter entry. Despite it being the holidays and grades being due during the period of this semester, I was able to complete all assignments and discussion forms. Although admittedly, it was difficult to keep up with all the discussions and making sure I responded to each one. I tried to keep my response brief in some forums so as to not sound repetitive. I was able to communicate with Dr. Rivera in regards to some issues with my post. Thankful I was able to resolve the issues with the lines after some tinkering. This course definitely challenged my ability to manage my time. It was especially difficult this semester to balance my course work, personal life, and work responsibilities. Despite these challenges I tried my best to meet deadlines and complete this course successfully.

  International Literacy Association (ILA) Newsletter Weekly Project:  Effective Literacy Website #7 Reading Rocket is an online resource that provides strategies for both teachers and parents. You will find free resources on strategies to teach reading and parent tips. The site provides free professional development for pre-K to grade 3 teachers. When looking more into the guides and resources, many of them are researched-based and have been proven to work.  There are video guides as well. In these guides you can meet the experts behind these strategies. You can even find their PBS Programs to help readers such as Launching Young Readers. Other video resources include meeting the authors and webcasts. In addition, they have a section specifically for helping struggling readers which is a great resource for teachers and parents alike.   Jayprise Orlando Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera ED-638 January 14, 2022   Final Self-Reflection              As the course ED638 ends, I found myself enjoying everything that given in this course. I think back to the first time that I read the course syllabus, and looked through the assignments; I got worried about the workload. The four weeks of learning, submitting assignments and sharing enhanced my knowledge in using internet sources to teach my students. Before the midterm, some of my assignments got overdue due to the holiday activities, but I never stop working to submit my works on time. I admit that there were times that I stayed up all night trying to finish my assignments because of family activities and other matters. However, this is not the end of this program but still I completed everything that in this course.              There are times ...

             As I close out this course with a final reflection, I look back at my first overview of the assignments. My initial reaction to the requirements was to panic. But after writing down all the due dates in my planner for better organization, I kind of calmed down. I had to collect my thoughts and re-evaluate my capabilities in completing all that was assigned. It was also a relief to know that I can always reach out to my colleagues in the cohort for guidance and encouragement as we tackled the course together.               During this course, I learned a lot about the different websites we researched and shared about in the blog as well as the discussions in Moodle.
