Farewell Reflection

 The day has come when I can finally checked off my last assignment and I am relieved! It has been fun taking ED 638-40 Teaching with the Internet. In the beginning, I panic and with the holidays happening, I worry that I will mess up. I am easily distracted when things happen and this course comes like a typhoon. I try to manage my time and I think I did well. I get to do a lot of reading when I get to write up the seven reviews of effective literacy websites. I have learned so much and need more reading on the internet tools and websites that I get to read from my colleagues. The ideas I get to read from the Moodle forum has given me a broader sense that there is no limit in teaching and especially when it comes to educational technologies. 

I enjoyed this course and learning from everyone and also from out Instructor Dr. Rivera. Thank you all for this opportunity.

With each videos, it has remarkable graphics along with upbeat songs that allows teaching more fun. To sign up, you can easily go to the website and create a username by entering your email address. This website has a free trial, and you can also pay for subscription that cost $67 a year for more videos for your students. Using the platform, Flocabulary, you can easily find videos that matches your classroom lessons that can be exciting and fun for the students.   International Literacy Association (ILA) Newsletter Weekly Project:  Effective Literacy Website #5 Story Place: The Children’s Digital Learning Library is an online literacy platform that focuses on building literacy for children in Preschool. This site offers digital storybooks that are animated. When you click into one of the stories, you will see a few expansion activities below. There are online activities for children to do as well as hands-on crafting activities that have printable templates for teachers or parents.  Included are videos that relate to concepts or ideas learned in the storybook. These videos are used to expand upon ideas learned in the story. Under each story, there is a reading list that relates to the theme of the story.
