Jeremie De Leon Farewell Reflection

For an intercession class, the number of assignments was what I expected. I was worried with both the number of assignments and the time frame of the class. I did end up panicking a bit, but as soon as I organized the assignments, I noticed that the assignments were not as overwhelming as I thought. The very first thing that I learned from this class is that a different perspective will help. In this case, when I listed down the assignments and categorized them into forums and assignments with due dates, I was able to calm down. Seeing the assignments lined up, I was able to finish and submit them on a timely manner. The aim of the class was to learn strategies and resources to teach with the internet. The aim was reached, and I gained valuable knowledge and information on internet tools and resources. Despite the workload, I enjoyed working on them and I wished there was more. The Geo-Narrative assignment was something entirely new to me. I thought Google Earth was the same as Goo

Tricia Eliou ED 638 Fall 2021 Dr. M Rivera Farewell Reflection           Today marks the end of another chapter in our life. I really appreciate all the hardworking, sleepless night we had since we only have short time to complete all our assignments. Thank you all for the encouragement and the support, I’ve seen this as a challenge because of the time limit. Through all, we all reach the end. Even though, being part of this ED 638 course is challenging but it all worth it. I have learned many useful resources such as the literacy effective websites and the internet tools that I will be implementing in my classroom.   Thank you so much Dr. Rivera for all of your time and for providing us opportunities to believe that learning never stops. We had a great time together, learning from each other and from you as well. Hope we all had a great time together while we battle through this journey in order to reach our destination. God bless us all!!!

This was my first Intersession that I have ever taken while attending UOG. It was everything that I had expected and not expected to be. I knew that the biggest challenge was taking two graduate courses during “the most wonderful time of the year.” Although this was the case, I have found the gift of self-discipline, perseverance and knowledge to be the driving force of how I have survived and found meaning in this course. This course has kept me on my toes and I have gained more tools to use in my class for the near future.   It was nice to be reacquainted with Blogger, a website that I used in ED 451. Using the blogging tool brought back memories learning how to incorporate technology and education. We have more knowledge on course management systems (CMS) or learning management systems (LMS) which are the platforms that teachers use today to execute online learning. Our course explored tools and literacy websites to better aid us in our planning and resources for our class.

We have come to the end of another learning experience in this journey. Though it was a short learning session, there were new, fun, and valuable lessons learned. Foremost, I am thankful to have come this far. The effective literacy websites and internet tools were a big plus for having ready resources for my classroom with my students. Thank you so much, Dr. Rivera, and special gratitude and respect to my classmates in ED-638. The learning experiences we have completed is one worth remembering. Thank you all and let’s continue learning together as one strong team. “Learning is ongoing!”

Benskin Bergen-Final Reflection

Benskin Bergen ED 638 Fall 2021 Dr. M. Rivera Midterm Self-Reflection             Of all the courses I have taken in this milestone, I find ED 638 the most challenging. The class itself is challenging plus taking it during that busy season of the year. Being the oldest means a lot of responsibilities especially during the Christmas. I was fortunate to have parents that care so much about education. They supported me especially with it comes to my classes.    Despite the busy family activities, I take time to do my work to meet with due dates of assignments. It is challenging! One sign of challenge that I faced is having to submit late assignments. In graduate school, I know for sure that it’s nothing but a terrible act to do. I blame myself and I will avoid such act to be experienced in the future.   However, I am using these challenges as motives to lead me through this quest.             Along with the challenges I faced in taking ED 638, I found the things I learned new

Rivera ILA Newsletter Project #7: Effective Literacy Website “Bookshare”             Bookshare is an effective literacy website that leads a great way of reading for learners with reading barriers. Students needing special care may develop reading skills like regular classroom students given the right tools and reading materials. Bookshare literacy website makes reading much easier. People with dyslexia, blindness, cerebral palsy, and other reading barriers can customize their learning to suite their learning styles. Learners with reading barriers may virtually find any book they need for school, work, or reading enjoyment. I believe the effectiveness on the website is mostly on its focus to special needs students. Sometimes we forget to include the learning accommodations for these important students. The site provides various tools that can accommodate necessities for students with special needs.             Since th
