Samantha Aileen C. Cheng - Final Self-Reflection for ED-638-40

As this course comes to an end, I realized how much time management is vital to completing our course work. During the beginning of this course, I had a meltdown with completing the tasks for the Intersession, and I found it overwhelming, especially it was being done during the holidays. After reflecting on how I need to start fixing my priorities and managing my time better, I completed my requirements on time and even earlier than scheduled. I felt relieved that I was almost done with my requirements, and I did not even need to stress myself over it. Time management is a lifesaver for me, and it helped me when I was able to clear my head and set my priorities.

As I complete my final requirements for this course, I feel proud of my accomplishments. Creating a blog was never easy since I never really started my own blog. Having a blog was fun because I got to see what I have written since the beginning of this course. This course may be short, but it will be one of the most meaningful courses I have taken. I would remember this course because this is the first course that caused me to break down and reflect on what I need to do to remedy my work habits. I usually have good work habits, but this year, the holidays got to me. The holidays made me realize how exhausted I was with all the work I had been doing for the past few years. My life has always been the same. I teach during the day, and I help run my family business at night. Then, I tutor one of my family friends during the weekend. The only thing that changed was that I added the Masters of Reading program to my schedule. I am thankful that I was able to reflect during the holidays. The holidays also made me realize that life is too short. I need to enjoy the moments that come my way and make memories with those I love. It also taught me that everything I do is for my family and me.
