DOGO News (https://www.dogonews.com) is a website that contains many articles on current events. The articles are organized and can be searched by categories, grade level, word count, and interest level. The content of the articles can range from fun and silly to serious topics. The categories articles can fall under are current events, science, social studies, civics, world, environment, fun, videos, and sports. The articles range from 100-1,000+ words that have images and videos injected between paragraphs. 

Unfortunately, majority of the features like quizzes, questions, and listen to article are only available through a paid subscription. That does not mean that Dogo News is not beneficial for free users. The full articles are still available with all the images and video. Teachers can assign the articles to their students and create their own assessment questions. Although you will not get as much as a free user, DOGO News still offers great subject variety that makes it useful for teachers teaching different subjects. The site has regular updates so articles will always have something new and fresh.

DOGO News is a student focused news article site with its regular updates and reader support. Every article features multiple visual aids that help enhance the content and encourage the students to continue reading. This allows the students to have a better understanding of what they read. The videos are simple and interesting. The articles also highlight grade level vocabulary that students can easily click on, and it will provide definitions and examples. Every article is written by professionals, and it goes through an extensive process of peer reviews before it can get posted on the website. An interesting thing about DOGO News is that the articles cover a vast range of topics and includes representation from multiple cultures around the world. Some articles also feature some controversial topics that challenge certain political views, which can be used for the more mature students. With all the features and support for free users, DOGO News is a great website for readers of all levels.

This site offers digital storybooks that are animated. When you click into one of the stories, you will see a few expansion activities below.
