Google Classroom has multiple features that are great for educators and students alike. When making assignments, you are able to use 3 features when creating the assignment. One being that the assignment can only be viewed by students. The second being that students can edit the original document. Thirdly, you are able to make a copy for each student. The second option is great for collaborative assignments where students have to create a product with their partner or group. The third option is best for independent work because each student is given a copy of the original document that they can edit. Only the teacher would see each individual student's progress with the third option. Other great features while making an assignment is that you can schedule when an assignment will become visible to your students. You can post your assignment immediately or schedule for a future date at a specific time. Also, you can assign your assignment to multiple classes or to specific students when needed. If needed, you can include a rubric for the assignment and you can reuse the same rubric for future assignments. 

Google Classroom also makes it possible for teachers to communicate with students effectively. Teachers can make announcements on the stream. Students can comment under these announcements if you allow. With Google Classroom, you can turn off comments if they are not being used properly by your students or mute specific students from sharing on the public stream when needed. Under assignments, students are able to comment directly under their work to ask questions to the teachers, so shutting off the commenting on the mainstream doesn’t stop students from communicating with the teacher directly. An additional feature in Google Classroom is that you are able to generate a meeting code for your class specifically. Students would just need to click on the same code at the top if you are using Google Classroom to host your virtual meetings. Overall, Google Classroom is a great place to put all your resources and assignments for students to view and provides one platform for students to submit assignments.
