TumbleBook Library (www.tumblebooklibrary.com) is especially design for kids to search up preferable books to read from thousands of selections. This website is specifically for improving literacy in reading and building student’s technological skills. The TumbleBook Library or Tumble Premium has a collection of 1100 titles. These books are perfect for elementary schools and libraries with contents appropriate for student in grades K-6. The collection of books includes videos, animated talking picture books, non-fiction titles, playlists, and even collection of books in Spanish and French.

The TumbleBook website is not free, but while they were closed during the COVID 19 pandemic, they offered free services to public libraries. The TumbleBook library provided free access to young adult, romance, children, and audio books online. They also provide educational games and puzzled for students or children. There were no special accounts needed to access the platform. The free access to TumbleBook library was up until August, 2020.

The TumbleBook Library also have partnership programs that allowed public libraries and local school communities collaborating with each other in negotiating on the most economical subscription option that is available for them. The partnered schools are acting as a branch of the library, which they shared the same subscription. To access your partnership total, you can simply add your partner schools to the number of branches your library has and get the total. For example, the Platinum subscription per year is $999.00, and that’s the library plus one school only. Rivera IRA Newsletter Project: Effective Literacy Website #7   Flocabulary ( www.flocabulary.com ) is a very useful tool and a teacher friendly platform with numerous short videos that can help teachers teach current events and historical topics. With each videos, it has remarkable graphics along with upbeat songs that allows teaching more fun. To sign up, you can easily go to the website and create a username by entering your email address. This website has a free trial, and you can also pay for subscription that cost $67 a year for more videos for your students. Using the platform, Flocabulary, you can easily find videos that matches your classroom lessons that can be exciting and fun for the students. Teachers using Flocabulary videos have used in their reviews, where the students watch videos after learning about a certain topic and completing interactive lyrics worksheets.   International Literacy Association (ILA) Newsletter Weekly Project:  Effective Literacy Website #5 Story Place: The Children’s Digital Learning Library is an online literacy platform that focuses on building literacy for children in Preschool. This site offers digital storybooks that are animated. When you click into one of the stories, you will see a few expansion activities below. There are online activities for children to do as well as hands-on crafting activities that have printable templates for teachers or parents.  Included are videos that relate to concepts or ideas learned in the storybook. These videos are used to expand upon ideas learned in the story. Under each story, there is a reading list that relates to the theme of the story.
