The website is part of the University of Oxford. The primary objective of their mission is to work with educational experts, practitioners, and leading organizations to offer the best resources and school improvement support online while maintaining excellence in research, scholarship, and education.

The tools and resources include book recommendations, storytelling videos, activity sheets, and teaching notes. There is also a library of professional development videos created to support school improvement. There are free, tablet-friendly eBooks for every child, and teachers can share the eBook Collection with students using a simple class login for students to access at school and at home.

The website contains links to award-winning subscriptions that include online resources to engage students and to help raise the standards in schools. These links include Big Writing Adventures, Inspire Maths Online, and Nelson Writing amongst the few.

Signing up to access the website is free of charge. There are free and paid subscriptions to the resources available, and educators have the option to choose which resources they would like to access online.
