Juliana Cruz - Internet Tool: Google Slides
Google Slides
Google Slides can be used in multiple ways for educators and students. First off, it is a great way to make a presentation. A feature that is great for such presentations is that you are able to add pictures and GIFs to the slide by simply copying and pasting the URL. Adding images is a great way to enhance your presentation. Google slides also allows you to embed YouTube videos into your presentation, so you no longer have to switch tabs in order to view the video while presenting. Additionally, links to other sites or games can also be embedded into your presentation. A great feature of Google Slides for students and teachers is that you are able to share the document and work on it collaboratively simultaneously which is essential when students are assigned group presentations.
Another way educators can use Google Slides is to create an interactive assignment for students. You are able to embed certain features as the background of a slide then add text boxes or pictures in order to create a drag and match assignment. You can also make assignments where students have to draw lines or shapes in order to create the assignment. Google slide allows you to make a variety of different activities in one document for an assignment. It may take some practice in order to perfect making these types of assignments, but I think it's well worth it.
