Starfall (starfall.com) is a literacy website created in 2002 of September to help teach children on how to read. This friendly site is designed especially for preschoolers through 3rd graders. The site has proven effective in teaching emergent readers by providing systematic sequential phonics, phonemic awareness, and common sight words with combination of audiovisual interactivity. All activities in Starfall are aligned with individual and Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics and research-based.
Starfall is designed to encourage students or children to be intrinsically motivated and become confident readers. This platform is another educational website, which is very effective especially with homeschooling, special education, and English Language Development (ELD, ELL, and ESL). This platform is regularly used in schools where there are special need children or children with learning difficulties.
There are three ways to join or become a member for Starfall. One way is through Purchase Order, which only applies to United States and Canadian Schools. Another way is by joining online by paying through PayPal, Credit Card, or Debit Card or through mail/fax order form or phone. You can easily access the site (starfall.com) and choose games or activity for your students.
